The liturgical season of Lent emerged as a way to prepare for the celebration of Resurrection – in the life of Jesus and in our lives.  Spiritual preparation is marked by attentiveness.  While some traditions focus on fasting from that which might distract us and pull us away from a faith-inspired life, this journal takes a different route.  Rather than focus on Lenten sacrifices, we seek to increase our awareness of the Divine all around us.  The ancient Christian greeting, ‘the Christ in me greets the Christ in you” serves as a springboard for remembering the many ways Christ shows up in our lives and in the world.  Rather than fasting, we invite feasting on the many experiences of the Divine in our midst.
Each day you will be presented with a photo and a short greeting that will invite you to reflect you want be present to God and to others in your life.  Underlying this ‘presence’ we offer each other is the Spirit of divine love and grace; known and to be made known through both Jesus and his followers.
May this be a rich journey for you.
The journal begins on Wednesday, February 22 and will run each day (except Sundays)
